ABOUT
Bee happy

This is intended to spread awareness of the importance of bees. Without them, we wouldn't have many of our favorite foods!

Hello! I'll be uploading photos of my journal that I have been using to collect information for this site! I will also be uploading ideas for my garden after I get all the measurements taken. My computer keeps being really slow whenever I try to upload photos and it is stressing me out. :(

Bee happy-4

I was finally able to upload my photos onto my computer, and lemme say, I took more than I remember! I have been unable to get bed measurements due to the weather, but I can still read my book and dream on. The book is called "Rodale's Basic Organic Gardening: A Beginner's Guide To Starting A Healthy Garden"  And it is written by Deborah L. Martin. This book is super helpful and gives so much helpful information. So far from flipping through it a couple times it covers topics such as: Rotation gardening, types of soils, plants to grow, friendly bugs or pests, tools, etc.

Hello! So I have the photos, but a little problem came up. One of my memory cards broke so I can't get the photos off of it anymore and I had to wait to get my school laptop to use my other memory card. So I will be getting more photos uploaded soon, hopefully this weekend. I have gotten a new book recently and it is perfect for this project. It covers how to do different kinds of organic gardening, types of plants, bugs, etc. As a final way to finish my personal project I am going to be putting together a garden at my house.

Due to the fact that I was unable to draw, I actually started collecting plants, researching organic methods, using organic foods, showing my love for farmer's markets, using items that are second hand, and just being more power conservative at home. I have 2 sprouted pansies, a full grown who is kinda sick, and a pansy that I am waiting for to sprout. I also have 2 cacti, an aloe, a waxy agave (several actually), a sprouting leaf from a jade plant, and a chicks and hens succulent. I have been buying clothes from my local goodwill, and I have found some pretty great stuff from there. Most of the books I own are either well loved from the moment I bought them, from a thrift store, or from my grandparents. I own several books that are printed from before the 1950s. I have driven my family to the point of madness when it comes to using natural light. If it is bright and sunny outside, I open all the blinds in the house and soak in all the sunshine.

Welcome to Bee Happy! Through these posts I hope to help gain awareness on the conservation off bees. Throughout all these posts I will post a "blog" every Monday, post a photo every Friday, post about a bee product every Saturday, and post a bee-themed art work every other Sunday.

For my first post I want to tell you about the different plants you can use for a bee garden. There are plenty of bee conservation websites you can also check for more information such as:
